Volunteering
Helping Hands Our organisation is a volunteer organisation that is run by individuals with a wide variety of skills and experiences that generously donate their time to maintain the services that we provide. Volunteering in general is a positive way to contribute to the community and is a good opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills and, by being involved with Landcare you can have a positive impact on the environment within the Callide Valley community.
There is always an opportunity to help in some way or another as we always need people to; - Attend general meetings (we need 9 members to hold a meeting including four committee members). - We run a volunteer nursery which always requires weeding, watering, and transplanting. All year round there is a real need for help. - We attend markets, shows, and conduct field days and could always do with assistance with transporting, setting up, and looking after the stall during these events. - We also have a number of projects underway that are always in need of some willing volunteers to participate in or even manage.
